Utah MVR Changes and 2017 Ban the Box Legislation

Utah MVR Changes
The State of Utah modified the process used to order and obtain Utah MVR information. The state has created a new service that requires the MVR vendor, sub-vendor, and customer to register with the state.  Both SambaSafety (our MVR vendor) and First Advantage (the sub-vendor or reseller), have registered and have been approved by the state.

Clients must be completely registered prior to receiving UT MVR’s from the state of Utah through First Advantage.  A completely registered client is one who has registered and received a UT ORG ID number and who has designated First Advantage and Samba (Safety Holdings) as sub-vendor/vendor.

Ban the Box Legislations Effective in 2017
There are two states with ban the box legislations effective in 2017, they are Connecticut and Vermont. The Connecticut ban the box legislation was effective January 1, 2017 and the Vermont ban the box legislation will be effective July 1, 2017.
