Back on February 17, 2020, First Advantage shared an update on the proposed revisions to the Federal Drug Testing Custody and Control Form (CCF), which form is used for federal agencies, Department of Transportation (DOT) and Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) workplace drug testing. https://fadv.com/blog/federal-drug-testing-custody-and-control-form-ccf-revisions-proposed/.
At this point in time, as recently published in the Code of Federal Register, the public comments made to the CCF proposed revisions have been considered and an updated final Federal Drug Testing Custody and Control Form (CCF) has been proposed. https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2020/06/30/2020-13986/agency-information-collection-activities-submission-for-omb-review-comment-request
Although the current CCF expires on August 31, 2020, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) will still need to approve the form for use post submission by the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). There may also be an implementation grace period related to the use of the expired federal CCF to address the logistics of making the form available and ensuring its distribution.
Additional public comment is also permitted on the proposed final form until July 31, 2020.
The proposed final CCF draft proof can be found at: https://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/PRAICList?ref_nbr=202006-0930-004
