DOT and FAA Employer Alert

The U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration (DOT FAA) has posted the following Guidance concerning “DISRUPTIONS TO DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING DUE TO COVID -19” on its Website: https://www.faa.gov/about/office_org/headquarters_offices/avs/offices/aam/drug_alcohol/media/FAA%20COVID-19%20Drug%20and%20Alcohol%20Testing%20Guidance.pdf

In its introductory remarks FAA references the guidance document from the Office of Drug and Alcohol Policy Compliance (ODAPC) which includes recommended actions for DOT covered employers unable to conduct alcohol and drug testing due to COVID-19 https://www.transportation.gov/odapc/compliance-with-dot-drug-and-alcohol-testing-regulations
